December 21, 2015, is a date that Yogesh and Aneesha will never forget. The couple celebrated their wedding day in Mumbai, surrounded by their friends and family at a breathtaking venue: Sea Princess in Juhu, Mumbai. The big day was captured in beautiful images by Manish Chauhan of Candid Wedding Stories. Chauhan’s photo captured the essence of every moment to create a beautifully emotional wedding story that you simply cannot miss.
The Couple
Aneesha and Yogesh both are from Mumbai. The vivacious Aneesha and gentlemanly Yogesh both worked in the same company. In the beginning, they were colleagues and nothing more. They both were transferred to Dubai in 2012, and that is when their relationship began.
The Meeting
In 2013, Aneesha was transferred to Singapore. They used this time apart to decide if they wanted to give their future a serious thought. A few months after Aneesha’s transfer, Yogesh went to see her in Singapore, and they finally decided to take the plunge.
Plight one’s troth
Formal proposals on one knee with red roses or a ring in a glass of champagne are not always necessary. After months of staying in different parts of the world, Yogesh asked Aneesha to come back to Dubai, to which she favourably agreed and here they are today!
Bean feast
Aneesha and Yogesh both love to celebrate life with style. All their pre-wedding parties took place in different international locations. They had their engagement celebration in Paris where Yogesh surprised her with sumptuous dinner, champagne & a beautiful classic diamond solitaire at the Le Chalet des Iles Paris. Aneesha’s friends threw her bachelorette party in Prague, and Yogesh’s bachelors was in Bangkok.
Closer to the wedding day, they had a pre-wedding party at Mini Punjab, Powai, Mumbai with all of their friends and family. Flaming shots to succulent lobsters, they partied till everyone dropped dead on the dance floor. The cake for the cocktail was from the super famous Love and Cheesecake in Powai, with branches in Bandra and Andheri, Mumbai. According to Aneesha and Yogesh, “their desserts are to die for!”
Dressed to the nines
The Colour of Love: Mehandi
The Mehendi celebration is an essential element of a bride’s ensemble and some of her best wedding moments are from this day. It is not only a custom but an important day in any Indian bride’s life. The venue for the Mehendi celebration was close to Aneesha’s heart – her family house in Chembur, Mumbai. To Aneesha, the house is symbolic of her life with many happy memories of her family especially the ones with her grandparents.
Wedding Ensemble
For Aneesha, it was very clear what she wanted for her wedding ensemble. For designers, she went for Sabyasachi and Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor. Aneesha did not want her wedding dress to be common like every other bride. She found the design of her dreams in the Sabyasachi classic collection. For other ceremonies like mehndi and sangeet, she went for a Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor design.
Makeup
Getting ready on the morning of the big day is very important for every bride. Amrita Saghavi, a renowned makeup artist who has dolled up many film stars, worked with pretty bride Aneesha on her dream day so that no one could take their eyes off her. Amrita Saghavi is unmatchable according to Aneesha. She is very happy with her choice and recommend Amrita to all brides to be.
Ravishing Jewelery
No wedding dress, wedding shoes, or makeup is complete without jewellery. Knowing that bridal jewellery has a fundamental role in making the look, Aneesha bought precious jewellery from Malabar Jewelers in Dubai & Notandas in Mumbai.
Astonishing Venue
Aneesha and Yogesh chose a beach facing venue – ‘The Sea Princess’ at Juhu, Mumbai, which is famous among Sindhis and Marwaris for weddings. Both, Aneesha & Yogesh had attended many weddings at this venue when they were young, and they got to relive some of their special memories and at the same time, create the most memorable moments of their life. It was “a happily ever after fairytale,” according to both.
