Merely 5 kilometers from the city centre i.e. from the Clock Tower, on the Mandore Road is the WelcomHeritage Bal Samand Lake Palace, in the vicinity of still and clear Bal Samand Lake. Built in red sandstone and employing the typical ornate Rajput architectural style, it was initially conceived as the summer residence of the Jodhpur Maharajas.
The tastefully designed Garden Rooms have a different aura altogether with their own Rose Gardens, Croquet Lawn and Restaurant.
The lake itself which was artificially created in the 13th century as a water reservoir that supplied drinking water to the city - now compliments the lush green lawns and staggered terraced gardens of the property. This old royal retreat has now been fitted with all modern amenities which however, do not take away from the old world charm of the property.
Amazing place that should be rated 5 stars. For the price especially, it is unbelievable that the hotel is able to maintain itself because the grounds are perfectly maintained as well as the pool, and the staff are extremely nice. The hotel itself is a sight to see as it is the old summer palace of the royal family. Therefore the palace rooms are extremely luxurious. The grounds as well are so picturesque and beautiful. This is definitely the place you want to stay if you want to relax and unwind.
The Ambience of the palace and hotel mixed is amazing and I never can forget it. The hospitality of the staff is top notch and the food is very delicious and altogether makes an life long impression of Bal Samand Lake Palace beautiful and excellent!
A good place with some subtle calm relaxing atmosphere so u can spend time with the family...
