Often touted as paradise on earth for its spectacularly breathtaking beauty, the capital of Kashmir - the valley of Srinagar - at the foot of the mighty Himalayas, with its expanses of placid lakes, rapid rivers, rolling meadows, immaculate flowering gardens, and the chinar (maple) tree that reflects the changing seasons from the fresh green of spring to the russets of autumn that are shed for winter - tugs at the eyes and heart-strings of the beholder.

Simply breathtaking. An experience that money can't buy. Thank you Mr Naba for the warm welcome and Ifraan our care taker.
Well furnished and well maintained boathouse on the Nigeen lake. The caretakers are very courteous and professional. The food served is good.
A wonderful place to spend time at. The view of the lake from the boat is magnificient. One can ride the shikara in the dal lake which picks us up right from the house boat itself. The food is good and the service is exquisite.
A must have experience.
Waking up in Kashmir's famous palaces was like waking up like her highness, but the one that positively took the cake was the houseboat, palace on water! The feeling of seeing palaces from a window of a moving palace is inexplicable. #travelawesome
