Jade & Jewels was conceptualized as a culmination of a passion for design. Babs & i, being sisters  worked closely on collaborative, &  successful forays into designing garments, setting up a contemporary art gallery and now this…our latest venture into the magical world of jewelry. Working with garments, a piece of art or a jewel all has a common thread of creativity which is the corner stone of a fulfilled  We started designing a line of trendsetting jewelry in 2012, which we handcrafted differently and hoped to make confident women make a statement with their accessories.  Uma Anshuman joined us later & brought her expertise in traditional jewellery to add to the repertoire of designs in Jade & Jewels. She has designed a stunning range of destination wedding jewellery which is perfect for out of town events without the tension of having to carry precious jewels. Unusual & innovative- Uma combines semi-precious stones like ruby, lapiz, onyx, coral & emeralds with traditional forms of kundan & polki, and has created an authentic yet affordable collection.   Why did we name our brand Jade & jewels? Jade has been known to mankind for over 7000 years, and was always considered a lucky or protective stone, apart from being considered as a stone for inner peace, and harmony. The traditional & modern harmonizes perfectly in Jade hence the name for our contemporary style of jewelry. A stunning carved jade piece from China could be teamed up with a traditional kundan piece from the interiors of India to make up jewelry that transcends borders & boundaries.  We have a style concept… to stand apart!
