In the middle of the Nieuwmarkt, in the heart of Amsterdam, is the imposing, fairy-tale Restaurant-Café In de Waag. This historic building dates from 1488 and is therefore the oldest non-church building in Amsterdam. The atmosphere in the building is unique, partly due to the large chandeliers with no fewer than 300 candles.

Since 2010, Restaurant-Café In de Waag has been an official wedding location.

The restaurant can accommodate 180 people and it is also possible to celebrate your wedding in a charming, private space with a group of 8 to a maximum of 29 people.

In addition to providing and decorating a space, we can offer many different additions from our nature as a restaurant. There is a choice of different menus for lunch and / or dinner following the ceremony (in the private rooms), with matching drink arrangements or drinks, tailored to the wishes of the wedding couple.
