Hailing from Bikaner in Rajasthan, The Sawansukha have been traditional diamond merchants for nearly 200 years. In Kolkata, the first seeds of business were sown by Shri Rupchand Sawansukha in the early 1970s, when the fledgling trade in wholesale diamonds was started from Lal-kothi in Burrabazar.
In 1999, the first showroom was inaugurated on Little Russel Street in Kolkata. In 2005, with a Bachelors Degree in Jewellery Design and Gemology from the Gemological Institute of America, USA, Siddharthaa Sawansukha took up the reigns of the retail jewellery business.
Siddharthaa introduced innovative and international design, promotion and service concepts. Under his dynamic co-leadership, the business achieved spectacular growth and carved out a special niche for Sawansukha in the industry.
Today Sawansukha is recognized as a design and industry leader from Bengal with one of the largest and finest collections of handmade diamond and jadau jewellery, with an award-winning showroom in central Kolkata and several showrooms across the city and Bengal.
With operations that span wholesale, design, manufacture, retailing and exports. Sawansukha is one of the East Indian foremost jewellers.
