Winters are here, and so is the time for a glorious rustic wedding decor. The versatility of this type of decor is amazing-whether it’s a daytime wedding or whether it’s an evening wedding in winters, the backdrop goes with every other element of decor and your majestic wedding dress too.
So if you want to add your touch of creativity to the wedding ceremony decor, we have listed below unique and fun tips and tricks for the inspiration. Let Kamakshi from The Wedding Planning Company tell you how!
1. Flea Markets
Visit flea markets for antiques or pull out stuff from your grand mom’s prized possession.
3. Antique Devices/Instruments
Old teapots, typewriters, vases, musical instruments, lace throws will add a personal and quirky touch. Old trunks can be painted in bright colors and used as center tables or just have some flower arrangements in them.
4. Favorite Comics
Old comics can be used to make paper cones, can be filled with your childhood favorite toffees and can work as fun table arrangements.
5. Plain Fabric
Give the normal fabric marquee a miss and ask your decorator to give you lace covered smaller tents with low seating.
6. Vintage Furniture
Old cane furniture painted white with printed upholstery can replace the normal round tables.
7. Your Lampshades
If the ceremony is later in the evening I would suggest giving the overdone naked bulb strings a miss, instead do a ceiling of differently shaped and different colored lampshades.
8. Flora Floral
The floral arrangements can be a mix of flowers and fruits.
9. Lush Greenery
For one of the weddings in the jungle we had made an engagement platter using local greens, green daisies, fused with some pearls and pinecones placed on a plank of wood. One can use locally available handmade stuff and fuse it with flowers to create thematic ring platter.
10. Hollywood Movies
My all time favorite for an overdose of boho inspiration would be to watch some Wes Anderson movies.
