Nisha met her husband, Reynold, three years ago at her family-run Stone Water Eco Resort, which is situated in the pretty port town of Vasco da Gama, Goa. It was fate that both brought them to Goa, since Nisha had studied in Bangalore, but missed her family too much, and Reynold had his first job in Bombay, but relocated to Goa because he loved the city. This is the story of their amazing church wedding, photographed by Romesh Dhamija.
The couple met when Nisha saw Reynold in the resort and asked him if he needed anything, like a drink or some food. This is when they got talking about everything that they had in common, such as their same line of work, their love for Goa, their passions for cooking. Their first date was at the movies eating caramel and cheese popcorn, and the rest is history!
The young couple both led busy and hectic lives, but their love for each other maintained a strong bond between them and their shared interests brought them closer together. While Nisha runs activities and destination weddings at her family-run resort, Reynold manages a busy restaurant, Soufflé, in Verna.
The couple’s wedding ceremony took place in Verna Church, the same place where Reynold’s parents got married many years ago. The church suited the couple, since they are both catholics, and provided the grand fairytale backdrop to their special love story.
For the wedding reception, there was no better venue than the place where the two lovers first met! Nisha and Reynold had a fantastic time celebrating their love with a reception in her family’s Stone Water Eco Resort. The cake and catering was tailored to them since it was all in-house, and the resort is known for it’s scenic beachfront location with charming chalets.
In traditional Catholic style, Nisha wore a beautiful white wedding gown that was designed by popular Goa-based designer Wendell Rodricks. Its accentuated her figure with a long embellished bodice that met the skirt at the hips, complete with a sweetheart neckline and ethereal sleeves. Nisha’s bridesmaids were pretty in blue, and each of their dresses were slightly different to the rest, so that all of them could feel unique!
Reynold wore a dapper black wedding suit and bow tie from Raymonds & Boss, while his groomsmen looked great in their handsome navy ensembles.
We wish Nisha and Reynold all of the happiness together that they deserve, as they embark on the next exciting chapters of their love story!
