Our real bride Rasna has the most heartfelt and romantic love story to tell. The bride got a Facebook request from a familiar person named Nannu. That was the beginning of an exciting chapter of her new life. Rasna’s hesitancy in talking to him eventually disappeared after a period of time when she realized that she knew him from school. A popular athlete in school, Naanu, already had a sweet spot for his senior Rasna and never lost an opportunity to express that to Rasna. Rasna’s heart melted when he sent her the song Soniyo from the Bollywood movie Raaz 3 and that moment she knew that she also adored him.
They decided to take it forward and went on their first date bringing their friends with them. If it wasn’t for their friends pushing them to spend some time together, they wouldn’t have realized that they were meant to be together. However, Rasna and Naanu parted their ways, but after a year, Rasna felt that it was the biggest mistake of her life because she realized that to see the sunshine, she would have to weather the strom. Rasna’s persistence efforts at winning his heart back paid off, and they after that they became inseparable.
” It took me less than a year to realise I lost the sweetest & most caring man. The extents he’d go to make sure I was fine and safe at all times, his sweetest gestures ( for instance, when I attended this university for a couple of months, he’d go all the way just to drop me at the pier, cross the boat with me just because I was too afraid to cross it alone; that’s when my mum fell in love with him, of how caring he was) I was so certain it was too late, too late to realise, too late to render things, too late to win him back. I went to great lengths to win back his heart, a whole year and I didn’t give up. From secretly sending him flowers on Valentines, speaking to his friends, organizing a surprise birthday party for him, sending him postcards from my trip to Europe, I didn’t give up! And it paid off! I eventually won back his heart!” says the bride.

Rasna says, “We have been madly in love with each other! A day without each other is now just incomplete, we have truly been through so much together, he has seen me at my weakest, and looks pass all my flaws, he is truly the love of my life! And oh! he spoils me rotten! (That’s what mum says) Here are just some incidents I’d like to share that truly make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have such a lovable man by my side.“
“The toughest days of my life were when I started having panic attacks. I’d get attacks out of the blue, yet he was always there, patient and tried to understand and help. My anxiety made me depressed, and I feared going out and wouldn’t socialize. He was still always there for me, he’d often come home, speak to me, make me feel safe, and that was all that I needed.” Says Rasna.
“I am grateful for such a gem by my side. A very unforeseen incident occurred when we ere in Barcelona; i fell off the Segway and broke my leg. He arranged for a wheelchair and wheeled me around Paris & London after. He took the best care of me on those days, was there through it all, just when Mom wasn’t around. He truly is a Gem, one so rare and so precious! We love spending time with each other, even if it means doing nothing or NETFLIX! With each day that passes by, I am more grateful for having such a beautiful soul with me, one who’d do anything and everything for his loved ones. Love always, Rasna.”
For sangeet night, the bride experimented with tassle decor for the interiors of the hotel ‘Radisson Blu Bangkok, Sukhumvit’. It was a perfect amalgamation of modern print out patterns and flowers. Even for at the sangget night the bride integrated a little part of mehendi ceremony by integrating the stalls at the corners. “I wore a Pink indo western gown by Kamaali Couture and he was dressed in a navy Indo-Western outfit by Sarab Khanijou.“, says the bride.
Ring ceremony and sangeet night for all took place at the Intercontinental Bangkok. This time the bride went ahead with crystal and flower festoons for the decor. The sangeet performances went on till 4 AM in the morning. A unique photography idea was the selfie print photo booth that also made an offbeat decor element. “I wore a beige/silver outfit by the amazing Falguni Shane Peacock, and he was dressed in a Grey indo-western shwerwani by Diwaan Saheb.“, says the bride.
The pheras took place at the most well-known and special gurudwara in Bangkok where the entire society comes, followed by wedding lunch. Dhol party was held at thebride’s home and after that, the bride happily took off to her husband’s home leaving her friends and family emotional but happy at the same time.
