Meet Vanisha and Shivam, the couple who’s arranged marriage turned into a romantic love story! Their fathers were childhood friends, so they played Cupid and the rest is history.
The two messaged each other across a long distance, as Vanisha was in India and Shivam in Atlanta. After three months, Shivam paid a visit to India and it was love at first sight. Here is their beautiful wedding story…
The proposal…
“Initially neither of us proposed”, says Vanisha, “we were so happy and so sure about each other that our parents noticed and decided to make it official themselves. After a year we planned on getting married and had our pre-wedding cocktail in Fatehgarh Palace, Udaipur, on 19th December 2017, with close family and friends. Upon entry to the function, Shivam got on his knees! He had been planning this with his cousins and my friends for a quiet some time. It was dreamy, surprising and just too perfect. A memory for a life time.”
The Wedding Preparations…
The preparations for any wedding are bound to be stressful, especially if you’re a bride who wants everything to be perfect! Vanisha was lucky to have amazing support from her family, who helped her prepare even the finest of details! “My father and mother planned the whole wedding while my brother planned the Udaipur cocktail party, of course without my friends around it wouldn’t have been what it was.”
The Outfits…
“I am very particular about my outfits” admits Vanisha who travelled nearly all of India with the perfect outfit for her special day. She had always wanted to wear a dreamy Sabyasachi dress and so was able to feel confident in a beautiful gown, then for her Mehndi she decided to wear Anju Modi (Delhi), and her Sangeet outfit was by Dolly J in Mumbai.
The Location…
Vanisha had always wanted a destination wedding, but with 2500 guests it would have been a bit difficult! So, her father decided to have the large and extravagant festivities in one of the best palaces in India, the Laxmi Villas Palace in Vadodara Gujarat.
The photography of this beautiful day was done by Dreamgrapher from Ahmedabad, “they were best recommendation I have ever had”, exclaims Vanisha, who was surprised with delight at every shot taken.
D Day…
“My dad made my dream wedding come true from every fine detail to all the other things that had to be considered, there was nothing missing. I felt like the luckiest girl in the whole world.” After a spectacular wedding, Vanisha moved from home to Atlanta with her new husband, the perfect match!
