Rohan and Kriti met each other a little over 3 years ago. It was fate that brought them together and they fell in love. This led to a beautiful marriage at Chunda Palace, Udaipur. So many precious moments from that day were professionally captured by Mahima Bhati.
Our Happy Newlyweds
No one of us know when or where we are going to meet our life partner. It always happens coincidently. When they met for the first time, Rohan and Kriti did’t know that after so many years they would be a perfect couple. Rohan and Kriti studied in the same design university in London, but ironically they never met there. Kriti went back to Delhi and started a ceramic studio there. At the same time, Rohan left his job in Amsterdam and also returned to Delhi to set up his own studio. During this period of time, they were both published by a design magazine.
Jab We Met
Their first meeting was professional, as they both belong to similar fields of work and had common acquaintances. The first time they met at the launch of a design magazine publication, in which they both were featured. Rohan and Kriti became friends over the course of time and eventually thought of starting up a collaborative design studio called ‘Re-culture.’ To create their business, they began to spend a lot of time together. Their work was nominated for many awards, so they got to travel around the world together. During this time, They shared happiness, success, stress, and failure, but through it all, they both had each other’s back and made a great team. So the ‘let’s get married’ decision came very naturally to them.
How Rohan Captured Kriti’s Heart
Rohan said “It’s a different story for me. It was an instant crush for me when I met Kriti, but I wanted to take it slow and thus started my epic battle to win her heart. Initially, I asked her out to come out for drinks… we clicked instantly and became friends. A year passed by and I still didn’t have the courage to ask her out as I thought I might mess up our friendship. I wanted to spend more time with her and found a way by coming up with a design project that needed us to collaborate.” Rohan eventually expressed his feelings to her and from that point there was no turning back. They became friends, business partners, and then lovers. It has been a beautiful journey. Rohan said “my hard work and dedication paid off “.
How he Popped The Question
Finally, Rohan decided to propose in a way that every girl dreams of. Kriti accepted Rohan to be her partner for life. The proposal was done with a ring in a glass of champagne. Rohan won the battle of love.
The Nuptials
The wedding was held at a spectacular venue, decorated exquisitely with a vintage style seating plan, a clothesline photo, and bottles filled with flowers. The photographers and videographers did not hesitate to capture every moment of their dream day to create a story full of memories for the couple. The wedding planner Fab Events made their dreams into a reality.
The Mehndi
Fab events timed the functions perfectly. The wedding was during the sunset. The mehndi was at noon and the engagement/cocktail party was at night with lit up façade of the palace as the backdrop. The mehndi ceremony had beer pong as one of the several activities, as wel as folk dance, bangle making, a puppet show for kids, and kite flying etc. There was a fun wedding survival kit provided and personalized greetings in every room.
Getting Dolled Up
To make our beautiful bride Kriti even more gorgeous, a great makeup artist Chandni Singh provided assistance. No matter how expansive or heavy your wedding dress is, a professional makeup artist is always essential to make your natural beauty stand out.
Wedding Attire
Wedding dress is what every girl thinks of first when it comes to weddings, but one very important thing is to choose the correct wedding dress according to the weather. Our bride Kriti went to Madsam Tinzin, Shahpur Jat for her precious wedding dress. She didn’t want anything heavy or over-embellished. Instead, she imagined something comfortable that she could move around in. Our bride fell in love with Madam Tinzin’s entire collection. She loved the color palette, intricate hand done embroidery, and subtlety. The moment she saw the dress, she knew instantly that it was exactly what she wanted. According to Kriti, the designers were a really sweet bunch as well and working with them was a breeze.
The Beautiful Decor
Credit goes to Fab Events for making Rohan and Kriti’ s dream wedding. They added special touches to every ceremony, like chinese lanterns that guests could light and release into the sky. After the jaimala, Fab Events planned fireworks that set off right behind couple, providing a magical backdrop.
The Most Memorable Moments
The most memorable moment for Kriti was her engagement/cocktail function, where they had a live band. She requested that they play one of her favourite songs in the background when the rings were exchanged. To make things fun, the planner had distributed birthday whistles to the guests.
The most memorable moments for Rohan were when he sat on the mandap set up on the rooftop of the Chunda Palace, with the beautiful Udaipur sunset as the backdrop and when he caught the first glimpse of his beautiful bride under a blanket of flowers, wearing her coral red outfit. He couldn’t stop staring at her and found himself to be the luckiest man in the world.
The Breathtaking Venue
The wedding venue was Chunda Palace, Udaipur. The couple wanted an intimate affair, where all their guests could mingle and have a blast. They wanted it to be a memorable experience not just for them, but for the guests who came from many different parts of the world. The reason they chose this particular palace was because it was on a rooftop, overlooking the beautiful Pichola Lake and Aravali Mountains. The reception took place in Delhi.
