How many people actually marry their high-school bestie? For Bhagya and Snehi, their friendship started in school. It was a textbook romance says this bride to-be, “we used to pass chits to each other so that we could talk in class. We weren’t the best behaved students in class for sure. I would purposely forget my books so that he could come to my rescue and give me his books to make sure I wouldn’t get punished.”
Hanging out daily created a strong foundation of friendship that kept the pair tied to each other even as they attended different universities- him in New York and her in London. They started dating after he asked her out on Facebook in true millennial style while they were still apart and the relationship blossomed long-distance until they could be together.
Jump to 2017, Bhagya gathered their closest friends and family in New York, and popped the question at the top of the Strand. It was a magical moment that both of them say they’ll remember forever.
They got engaged on the 3rd of Feb, 2018 at Aqaba in Mumbai, with the bride-to-be decked out in Keosch by Kresha Bajaj and had her make-up done by Priya Todarwal. The groom-to-be in designs by Govinda. Documenting this big moment in their 11-year courtship was important to both of them, and they had Royale Frames capturing this special occasion. The decorator of choice was FireFlies.

And now? They’re counting days to their wedding which is slated to take place in December later this year. Watch this space for their upcoming nuptials!
